We offer Experienced Coaching Staffs, Director of Player Development, General Management, Access to Professional Instructors and Trainers, and the Use of a Year Round Indoor Facility. The Program Focuses on Instruction, Fundamentals, Player Development, and Fun!
The Upstate Empire is searching for passionate Coaches with Softball experience. Coaches that can develop the youth player with the ability to effectively teach, communicate, and mentor young players. Our Coaching positions are year-to-year commitments coaching players from 9 to 16 years of age. The age group you would Coach would depend on experience. Coaches will work with the SYSTEM set in place on player development and fundamentals that we utilize program-wide for the Empire Program. We have a Player Development Coordinator that will enhance your abilities through direct guidance and support when needed. You would assist with the recruiting efforts to field the team at the division you have an interest in coaching. Our Travel Ball Program is a structured program with tons of resources to help you be successful. Focused on coaching and player development, we are recognized as one of the Premier Developmental Programs in Central New York. Our coaches for the Upstate Empire Program are compensated for their time teaching and traveling.
Responsibilities:
- Coaches practice twice per week starting in November thru March.
(1-Hour – once per week and 2-Hours on a weekend day) all indoors at the Perfect Practice Facility. - April thru July: Up to 3-Hours of practice per week.
- Coach in up to 10 regular-season games (minimum).
- Schedule time and dates for regular-season games and scrimmages.
- 5 tournament dates. Some out-of-town and out-of-state weekend tournaments.
- Assist with Little League Clinics.
- Plan lineups and practice plans.
- Set up fields for your practice sessions.
- 1-On-1 Training Sessions available to boost your income.
- Teach, Teach, Teach!
